Located in a former convent, Les Bernardes Cultural Center needed some special seating for their many events. We wanted to capture the austerity and discretion associated with the atmosphere of a religious convent and capture in a piece of furniture, all while making it comfortable and practical.

A short deadline meant working intensely in order to achieve a mature result in a tight space of time. We limited ourselves on the materials and production techniques we wanted to use, resulting in a bench that could have been made a hundred years ago.Resulting in ageless appeal and sobriety for a seat that needs to stand the test of time. Despite its lightweight appearance, its materials make it robust and enduring.
