Metalorigami is the technique of bending and shaping metal as if it were paper. The workshop we taught last june included a theorical intro, as well as the design and prototyping of a stool using this particular technique. We are very glad with the results and hope to repeat this experience.

We finished our last workshop. It was about a concept that we call “Metalorigami“. It consists of folding metal as if it were paper, so that we can easily convert a flat metal sheet into an aesthetic-functional three-dimensional object.
The workshop took place during the Barcelona Design Week 2013.
The workshop started with a theoretical introduction to the limits and possibilities of the technique, and then some samples which illustrate the previous contents will be seen (and touched).
Finally we designed different pieces and products which we prototyped with paper in order to verify the correct sizing and functionality.
The last 10th of June we had 10 minutes to talk, on the TEDx Peralada stage, about the “Village Design” (Diseño de pueblo / Disseny de Poble). It was about the advantatges to live outside the cities and get advantage of all the things that surrounds a quiet village next to a lake.
We are so honored to have been selected designer of the month for Interiors From Spain website. Interiors from Spain is an initiative of ICEX Spain Trade and Investment, a government agency aimed at promoting design from Spain.
